Marmite, is the obvious choice. Carnations even more so. And to put things straight on that matter, never spray carnations, but the big single stemmed carnations in the right context can work.
Cake – another divider – take this week. J’s homemade birthday cake for the office, Guinness gingerbread. Maybe a bit too grown up for the cupcake lovers of the world? Dark, slightly bitter and very rich I’m on the yum side!
Back in the growing world – lovely old gates awaiting tomato plants to clamber up. Also going to try cucumbers this year.
Glorious foxglove. It was neglected for some time before finally making it into the border. Gorgeous contrast with the purple Cotinus in the background which has perfect leaves for buttonholes.
