1950s holidays and english country weddings

tea time

Flicking through some old photos of holidays, here we have Fletcher & Foley on the beach taking tea.  Loving Bob’s pose as waiter.

Back in the shop, a rather exciting wedding this weekend.  Canvas tent and pole marquee, hay bales, and lots of mismatched jugs of seasonal English flowers and herbs.  Venue decoration by Posh Frocks and Wellies, well worth a look! http://www.poshfrocksandwellies.co.uk/

English Stocks

English Stocks

The lovely James in Cornwall will be supplying us with his gorgeous flowers.  Stocks, sweet william, peonies, delphinium, campanula and the first of the new season’s dahlias.  Can’t wait.  Tho I will have to wait for the English foliage, apparently its just a bit too green and floppy.  Over at the plot I planted lots of dahlia’s this weekend, some new and tasteful and some in bizarre clashing colours.
