Currant climate

The blog has been very weddingy of late.  So I thought you might like a change of scenery. At the plot it’s been…challenging.  To say the least.  The first year in many I have no courgettes.  No glut of plums or apples.

On the upside, making hay and all that.  Redcurrants, and blackcurrants.  And the first of the foraged blackberries.  Perfect sharp sorbet fodder.

Mixed with sugar and nearly turned to jam (I don’t think that’s supposed to happen), frozen, woooshed up with creme fraiche and voila.  Now step away from a white shirt/skirt/table cloth and enjoy.

Oh and cardigan progress…..
