Time has been called. Not quite like last orders. But a little. It’s time to get giddy for all autumnal lovers. In the shop, one Monday morning, we just switch off summer and bounce straight on into the best season of all.

And I’m grateful that we’re rocking the ‘seasonality’ thing. Life is so much more interesting. Don’t know about you, but I don’t want the same flowers all year round.  The anticipation of the first physalis, amaryllis, tom pierce and hips.

Bottling damsons too.  Crappy plum and apple harvest, but the damsons are doing just fine.  So making the most of a little bottled fruit for when winter strikes in earnest when I will be wearing the amazing cardigan (coming along nicely thanks) and five layers of thermal underwear.  Maybe there’s a thermal undie company who would like to sponsor me?  The merino stuff was fab, but I managed to wear it out.  Yes, I wear clothes out.  Strange concept for some. But I’m really that poor!
