Things that passed me by. This. Yet somehow managed to be in the thick of it by having lunch here. In the 80’s I played truant in the arts centre. Surely some indictment on the education system and choice of future career? Entertain oneself with all things arty because the teachers were uninspiring – or maybe the thought of double physics ever again in life is still too much to bear for this 40 something.
The best food I’ve eaten out in a long time. Spicy squash with lime and coconut. Beetroot, parsnip and goats cheese quiche. All followed by ginger cheesecake and blueberry chocolate cake (shared obvs).
Mrs F and I lamented the loss of the Northern Quarter’s edge. It’s all cafe’s and fancy restaurants with queues.
Oh and how could I forget. THIS. Truly inspiring and ideas have been stored for future use a la Fletcher & Foley. Scizzors at the ready.
And today a Monday off. Spent at a farm bagging manure for the plot. Told you, glamour at all times. Got to see a milking shed, and lots of cows, and slurry tanks. Think I’ll stick to growing veg, there’s less muck.
