Dark nights

Call for dark, intense flavours.  So today I had a go a making a rye loaf for the f irst time.  A dough that resembles building mortar.  It’s heavy. But the flavour is all sweet nuttyness.

It does resemble a house brick. But with the Ewes cheese or a mini wedge of organic caerphilly, this chewy number is not be sniffed at.

Ingredients: 200gm rye flour, 20ogm wholemeal flour, 1 tablespoon honey, good grate parmesan, salt, yeast and a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds.

Have go, you won’t regret it.

Oh and a bauble. Well it is Christmas.
