Homegrown

009 010 011 014001 004006 007Sunday bouquet project.  All picked from the plot.  It’s bountiful. This week I’m self sufficient and slightly smug.  A bounty of pink fir knobbly spuds and onions.  Turnips and a kohhl rabi that resembles an alien life form.  Gooseberries and luciously glossy redcurrants. Green beans to feed the street.  Beetroot to accompany fish later in the week.  I did say smug didn’t I?

And the first blackberries.  This is how they plate up in restaurants. Except they remove the mistakes, splodges and drips.  Add a dollop of peach conserve to the berries, makes them super sweet.  Gorgeous Sunday.  You’ve been a long time arriving. But worth the wait.
